Olaplex – What’s it all about?

Olaplex

Everyone’s heard of it… And we all know its good for our hair, but what exactly does Olaplex do?

Have you tried The Big O?

At our Poulton hair salon, we love experimenting with hair colour. Its a form of self-expression for our clients and a creative process for ourselves! But, unfortunately… There’s no denying that the fact that repeated colouring sessions can damage the quality of your hair; making it more prone split ends, being dry and dull.

When your hair is damaged, hair colour, unfortunately, doesn’t last as long. Which only means, one thing… increased visits to the hair salon for colour top-ups.

This is why Olaplex has rapidly become the hair treatment top hair salons and beauty insiders can’t live without!

Olaplex’s breakthrough technology has the ability to repair severely damaged hair, that’s coloured regularly. Great news, for those of us who bleach and dye are hair often! As well as increasing your hairs shine and strength, for all hair types and textures, coloured or not.

Olaplex… tell me how it works.

It’s a system that permanently rebuilds the disulphide bonds in your hair that are broken during the chemical colouring process. If you’ve over-bleached or had your hair highlighted for years, Olaplex allows you to rebuild the strength, structure and integrity of your hair.

The system has allowed colourists to do work that they’d only ever dreamed of before. Black to blonde in one session? We got you.

The Seven Stages of Olaplex:

Olaplex is a seven-part treatment, the first two steps occur in the salon.

For professional in-salon use. Bond Multiplier can be put on the hair as a standalone treatment or if you’re getting your colour done, it is mixed in with the bleach and put straight onto your hair in foils.

No. 2: Bond Perfector

Bond Perfector is then put on the hair once the bleach is rinsed out, usually at the backwash. No. 2 is left on for a good 20 minutes to really get the most out of its chemical mending.
