Our Top 7 Bridal Hair Tips
Here are our Top 7 Tips for Bridal Hair & Makeup here at Olivia Knowles Hair & Beauty in Poulton-le-Fylde.
Schedule your hair and makeup trial together. One completes the other you’ll want to see the full look! To really see the complete look, schedule your dress fitting for after your trial!
Stay true to you. Keep your own style, hair colouring and facial features in mind when Pintresting. Go with what feels natural and don’t let trends or too many opinions sway you.
Confused? You can always book a consult before the trial to talk things over and search for inspiration with your stylist.
Your cut + colour can make all the difference. You’ll need the right angles and layers for some textured looks and loose face-framing pieces. Subtle highlights are best for braided styles. Consult with your stylist and we’ll make a plan!
If you plan on wearing hair extensions order them first and bring them to your trial. We’re happy to order them for you. Not sure if you need them? Drop us a message, we’re happy to help. It’s also a good idea to bring your veil / any hairpiece of jewellery with you if possible.
Book as far in advance as possible. The busiest months for weddings are September and October, followed by May and June. It’s never too soon to book!
Get a rehearsal dinner blow dry. The best canvas for wedding hair is 1 to 2 days since your last wash, with no straightening to the hair. We know this can be tricky when there’s an event the night or two nights before, so let us handle it! You’ll have great hair for your rehearsal dinner and it will leave it perfectly prepped for your big day.
Have fun! Brides can often get up in the stress of planning. We know the most beautiful bride is a happy bride! So try not to sweat the small stuff. Remember that your wedding is all about you and the love of your life, anything else is extra!
